Athletes are always looking for ways to recover from Injury In the fastest amount of time possible. Athletic training being my primary focus, I decided to look Into the many options there are to choose from. I think that two common forms of recovery from Injury are electrotherapist and cryptography. Both therapies aid in a specialty focus providing pain management. The purpose of this essay is to define, discuss the primary use, and to explain the similarities and differences between electrotherapist and cryptography.Electrotherapist is the use of electrical currents as a means of medical treatment.

The ultrasound, Laser treatment, Interstitial, and Tens are a range of treatments that Electrotherapist covers. Electrotherapist is used worldwide as a form of treatment for soft tissue injuries such as ligament tears and attentiveness. Some of the benefits of electrotherapist include the following: increased blood flow to the injured area (which promotes healing), reduced inflammation, decrease In pain, and break down of scar tissue and adhesions.Cases in which you should not use electrotherapist Include the following: In the acute stage of an Injury (may be Internal bleeding), over metal plans/plates, on cancerous tissue, ever Infected tissue, over sensitive areas, on the chest of patients with pacemakers, and over the back or abdomen of pregnant women. Cryptography, also known as cold therapy, is probably the most widely used form of treatment for sports injuries.

It is often the immediate first aid applied as soon as possible helping to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation. It is also beneficial alternating with heat after the acute stage has passed. Cold should always be applied immediately following an acute sports injury. The sooner cold and compression is applied the better, and only should be applied for the first 24 to 48 hours. Cryptography is usually divided into 4 steps known as RICE. R stands for rest, which prevents further Injury and stops the existing Injury from getting worse.

I stands for Ice. C Is for compression for stopping and reducing swelling.E Is for elevation to raise the Injured limb higher than the heart so blood and tissue fluids can drain away from the area more easily. The similarities between the two therapies are they both are used for pain management, reducing in swelling, reducing muscle spasms, enhancing healing and more.

Athletes look to both therapies for a quick recovery process. There are not too many molarities between the two therapies. The two therapies are actually very different. Electrotherapist is more for recovering the injury over time, whereas cryptography is to be applied immediately to the injury.

Electrotherapist uses instruments and devices that require electrical currents and expensive equipment, whereas cryptography uses a natural resource, ICE. Looking into these two options that athletes can choose from when it comes to recovery process, has taught me that there Is an abundant amount of technology out there. Startling to become an athletic trainer, I enjoy learning more and more about my area of discipline and all the economic devices that come with It. I will Incorporate both electrotherapist and cryptography into my field of practice.
