Correlated Process, d. Physical Treatment Process, and e. Final Process. The selection of the making process depends on: a. Number of the product that will be made, b. Product quality, c. Production facilities, and d. Machine standardization. Manufacturing process is really needed for manufacturing industry. Through manufacturing process, manufacturing industry could have the knowledge of how making a product more efficient and more effective. Through manufacturing process, manufacturing industry will know the right way to produce the metal or the raw trial so that the metal or raw material will have added value.

Development of Global Manufacturing Industry 2. 1 Technology in Manufacturing Process Management There are three primary processes from product design until production process. First, engineers design what product that will they produce. Next, through Manufacturing Process Management (PM) engineers will plan ways how they will produce the product. Then after designing and finding ways, engineers will decide when they will start to produce the product. (Shown in Figure 2. 1 . ) Figure 2. . 1 Some of manufacturing company and engineers Just focus on what product that they will produce. In reality, in this globalization era, company tend to act more competitive than before. Company and the engineers try to find any kind of way that could make their manufacturing process become efficient and effective. Today, companies not only try to find way to design their product and make them faster, but companies also try to find ways of how making products with minimal time-to-market, predictable cost, and required quality.
To reach companies goals of effective and efficient manufacturing process, companies could adjust Manufacturing Process Management (PM). Manufacturing Process Management (PM) is a huge steps to relate product design and production process, in order to improve quality and reduce time-to-market. PM gives benefits for companies, such as access improvement, and accuracy of production engineering by using some of application such as Manufacturing Execution System (MESS), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MR.), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Manufacturing Execution System is a control system for managing and monitoring work-in-process on a factory floor. Manufacturing Resource Planning is a method to optimism materials, procurement, manufacturing processes, and provide financial and planning reports. (Shown in Figure 2. 1. 2) Figure 2. 1. 2 2. 2 Technology in Human Resource Development To manage the information system of a company, a company could use the ERP system. ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is a computer software which integrates areas like planning, purchasing, inventory, sales, marketing, finance, human resource, etc.
As shown in table 2. 2. 1, there are big different of the employee number of Human Resource of manufacturing industry in several country in SEAN. These different could be caused by several reasons, such as: a. The company size There will be big different of employee number for big manufacturing company and small manufacturing company. A big manufacturing company must be need a lot of workers, on the other hand a small manufacturing company doesn’t require workers as many as a big manufacturing company needs. B.
The technology used A modern manufacturing company which has a lot of machine doesn’t need a lot workers, because some of the work are done by machines. While, a company that doesn’t have a lot of machine require a lot of workers if the company want to make he product faster. C. The type of product that produced A make-to-order company doesn’t need a lot of workers, because the company will wait the order came first to start working. While a make-to-stock company, needs a lot of workers because the company will always produce the product even though there are no order came from the customers.

Development of Indonesia Manufacturing Industry According to the table that have been shown above, Indonesia is one of a country which have a lot of manufacturing industry employees, which make Indonesia has an extensive industrial area. Table 3. 1 On table 3. 1, shown that Indonesia has a large of variety in industrial. But according to the data, Indonesia has a large of employee in furniture company and metal processing company. Those large amount of employees indicates that Indonesia has a lot of furniture and metal processing company.
With the large amount of company, each company must be more competitive than other manufacturing company. Some of the company must be a big company, but some of them are small company. Big companies have more advantages and more chance to compete with other company cause it has the facilities needed, while small company tend to has to work harder than the big company to be able to compete with them. IV. Conclusion In conclusion, a manufacturing industry needs three most important aspects to be able to compete in this globalization era.
Those three aspects are, an excellent manufacturing process, technology, and management. If a company undergo the manufacturing process really well from the beginning the product designed until it become a finish good or semi-finish good, the company will through the manufacturing process with not much obstacle. Technology is also needed in manufacturing process, with a modern and the right type technology needed, a company will work efficiently and effectively. Then, management, a good manufacturing process is also need a good management.
Manufacturing process management tells engineers of how the material needs to be process in the right way to make it become finish good or semi-finish good. Indonesia, as one of the biggest manufacturing industrial country, has to have those three aspect. Having those three aspects, will lead Indonesia to become not only the biggest manufacturing industrial company but also makes Indonesian economy better than before, because with the successful of the companies will also makes Indonesian income increasing.
